About Handlegen

Handlegen is a focused username generator. Every page does one thing — give you fresh, register-able usernames in a specific aesthetic or for a specific platform — and tries to do it better than a generic random-string tool.

How it works

We don't use an LLM at request time. Every name on every page is generated locally in your browser using hand-curated word libraries built specifically for each aesthetic. Platform pages additionally enforce that service's real character rules (length caps, allowed characters, starting-character requirements) so you don't copy a name only to have it rejected at signup.

Privacy

We never store the usernames you generate or save. The shortlist you build using the ♡ button lives in your browser's local storage — we can't see it, and clearing your browser data clears it.
